Whether you're a club racer, an endurance driver or part of a professional crew, the core Benchmark stays consistent. The role-specific emphasis, weighting and interpretation change around what racing actually asks of you.
Why this exists
The limiting factor during a race is rarely obvious, and it's rarely just strength or fitness. Often, one or two factors are doing far more damage than the rest: a neck that fatigues on one side, an aerobic base that isn't built for heat, or decision-making that quietly degrades once fatigue sets in.
Benchmark identifies which one deserves your attention first.
One Benchmark. Different demands.
The core protocol stays consistent. The role-specific elements, weighting and interpretation change depending on the job. A driver may need more emphasis on neck strength, sustained load and decision-making under fatigue. A pit crew role may place more emphasis on explosive power, asymmetry, repeated effort and movement demands.
Grip, neck and sustained pedal and wheel loading, including a dedicated left/right neck strength test unique to the motorsport assessment.
Brake input, an overtake, a wheel change. A key physical quality for fast, repeatable pit-stop work.
Heat, fluid loss and sustained effort. A major physical factor in maintaining performance through a full stint.
Seated posture, rotation and balance under a fixed racing position or a fixed pit-stop role.
Every assessment also includes Recovery Readiness as standard, sleep, stress and HRV, so it isn't listed as an add-on here, it's simply part of the assessment.
How well you keep making good decisions once your body is under real load. Included in the full motorsport protocol and tracked as individual data while the motorsport-specific scoring develops.

The assessment journey
Sample report
Two full sample reports, one for a Bronze-rated driver, one for a pit crew lead, built against the real report template. Clearly marked as samples throughout.
Who is it for?
Same core Benchmark, different role-specific questions. The test framework remains consistent so results can be repeated and compared over time; the emphasis and interpretation change around the demands of the role.
Why Benchmark?
Twenty-plus years working with people trying to get better at what they do. Benchmark applies a consistent assessment framework to the specific demands of racing, rather than treating every motorsport role like the same kind of fitness problem.
Understand. Prioritise. Act.
Not the tests. Not the gadgets.
Most assessments stop at the result. Benchmark doesn't.
